Cori Brown – Owner/Director
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Cori began training and competing at eight years old in various forms of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, etc. She later turned her focus toward pom and cheerleading throughout her high school years and competed nationally where she was captain of her 5A Division Pom line, winning various awards including a state championship.
Professionally, she was a Phoenix Suns Dancer where she performed at NBA home games (2000-2001). Later on, she decided to take her dreams to Texas where she became part of the world renowned Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (2005-2007) and performed in front of 65,000 fans at the historical Texas Stadium.
As a cheerleader for the Cowboys, she has made multiple appearances throughout the community including charity events and has hosted both dance/cheer competitions and seminars. She has performed with a number of famous artists including Carrie Underwood, Journey, Sheryl Crow, Blake Shelton, Paula De Ann, Neal McCoy, and more.
Cori and her husband have a beautiful son named Grayden and are also expecting a baby boy this December. They attend Gateway Church and have loved making Keller their home since 2005. Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed in strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future.”
Lorrie Baker – Assistant Director
Lorrie is from the small town of Tullahoma, Tennessee where she started taking dance classes at the age of two. She moved to Keller, Texas at the age of five and began taking dance at a local studio. Lorrie focused on many styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical. Lorrie began competing as well as training in pointe at the age of 11. Throughout the rest of her studio career, she traveled to competitions and took master classes from various choreographers, including Gregg Russell and Tyce Diorio.
At the age of 18, Lorrie began attending Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX where she majored in Family Studies and Child Development. During her time in college, she continued her dance training, narrowing her focus to ballet and modern at the professional level. In 2014, she graduated with honors and joined the Grace of Dance staff. Lorrie has many years of experience working with kids, and is so happy to be able to combine her love of children and dance! 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Alanya Odom – Artistic Instructor
Alanya was born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She began taking dance classes at the age of 3 and has studied multiple forms of dance including tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, and pointe. Alanya is a former dancer at Artistic Dance Academy, home of “Dance For Christ” under the professionalism of Patricia Warren. This is where she found her love for Christ and has chosen to travel and share God’s word. She has been trained and danced along side Peterson and Starkesha Thelisma. Alanya attended Wayne Community College majoring in dental hygiene and has such a tremendous love for kids. She has been accepted into the Ingredients Trainee Program where she will continue training professionally in all forms of dance. Her goal in life is to make His name known. Psalms 96:3 “Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.”
Iriann Alonso-Rodriguez – Artistic Instructor
Originally from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, Iriann began her training at the age of 6 in many forms of dance including ballet, hip-hop, traditional folkloric dance and salsa. Her family later relocated to Texas where she continued her training in dance as well as gymnastics and cheerleading. Her passion for dance education as well as nutrition/fitness lead her to Texas Woman’s University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy/Exercise Science. She also minored in dance education and has numerous internship hours with Texas Health Resources in the Fitness Center and Cardiac Rehab unit. There she worked with a variety of individuals with special needs, physical and mental limitations. Iriann is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Adapted Physical Education and Activity where she plans to take on the field of Occupational Therapy. Iriann has an incredible love and desire to help children and has been sharing her teaching gift with Grace of Dance since 2016. Isaiah 46:4 “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
Kelsey Johnson – Artistic Instructor
Kelsey has been dancing for over 20 years in all styles of dance and competed for 10 of those years. In 2012-2014, she was selected to be a Kilgore College Rangerette and was also part of their elite Swingster dance group. Kelsey later transferred to Baylor University where she received a Bachelors of Science and a minor in dance. Throughout her college experience, Kelsey has performed nationally at events including the Black Tie and Boots Ball, the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Cowboys games and Cottonbowl to name a few. Kelsey can’t wait to share her passion for both dance and health/nutrition to the students at Grace of Dance!

Jennifer Silva- Artistic Instructor
Jennifer was born in Dallas, Texas and was raised in the suburb of Garland. She has been dancing since preschool and received most of her training from the Dallas Repertoire Ballet where she has played many roles in their Nutcracker production. In the summer of 2002, she performed in the Tanzsommer Stars of Tomorrow tour at different venues throughout Austria including the Doguna Theater, St. Johann Platz and the Linez Platz. Jennifer later attended West Texas A&M University where she continued her dance training and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She has studied a variety of styles including ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap and hip-hop. After graduating from West Texas A&M University, she taught for Lone Star Ballet (Plainview, Tx) and became their studio director from 2013-2014. She later moved with her family to Keller and has been a blessing to the students and staff at Grace of Dance ever since!
Cara Ricci- Artistic Instructor
Cara comes to us with over 25 years of teaching children and adults of all ages, abilities and styles. Originally from Riverside, California, Cara began her training at the age of 9, instantly falling in love with dance. She has performed and competed throughout Southern California and trained with well-known choreographers at Tremaine’s and The Edge in L.A., etc. When Cara was 16 years old, she received her dream job at the happiest place on earth and was a dancer at Disneyland. Later at the age of 18, she was accepted to the Boston Conservatory in Boston where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and continued her dance training. She was the artistic director of Inspirations Dance Company in Colorado for 7 years. Grace of Dance is thrilled to have Cara on board to share her knowledge and expertise with the kiddos!
